Terms of Service
Last updated
These terms cover your account, your subscription, how the community works, and — importantly — the limits of what a training app can tell you about your own body. Read the safety section even if you skip the rest.
Agreeing to these terms
Loaded Carry is a product of Be Hard Ventures, Inc.
By creating an account or using Loaded Carry, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. You must be at least 18 years old to have an account.

Safety and your health
Rucking is weight-bearing exercise. It carries real risk of injury, and that risk goes up with load, distance, and pace.
Loaded Carry is a training tool, not a medical device and not a medical service. Nothing in the app — no plan, no calorie figure, no heart-rate zone, no readiness indication, no achievement, no suggestion to carry more weight — is medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
Talk to a qualified professional before starting or changing a training programme, especially if you are pregnant, have a heart, joint, back or circulatory condition, are returning from injury, or are taking medication that affects your heart rate.
You train at your own risk, and you are responsible for your own judgement. The app will happily record whatever you do; it cannot see your form, your fatigue, or the pain you are working through. If something hurts, stop. Pain is information.
The distances, calories, elevation, heart-rate figures and pace we show are estimates derived from GPS, your device's sensors, and the details you enter. They are not measurement-grade. Do not rely on them for anything medical.
Safety features are not a safety net
The safety beacon and safety-contact alerts depend on your phone having power, signal, and a working GPS fix, and on third-party networks delivering a message. Any of those can fail. Do not treat these features as an emergency service or a substitute for telling someone where you are going. In an emergency, call your local emergency number.
Your account
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity that happens under your account. Give us accurate information — the body weight and date of birth you enter feed the calculations, so wrong details produce wrong numbers.
You may delete your account at any time. Deleting your account removes your personal data as described in our Privacy Policy. Some content you contributed to shared spaces may remain visible in a de-identified form where removing it would break other people's records.
Subscriptions and billing
Loaded Carry has a free tier. Loaded Carry Pro is a paid subscription.
- Price: $9.99 per month, or $89.99 per year.
- Free trial: new subscriptions start with a 14-day free trial. You are not charged during the trial. If you cancel before it ends, you are not charged at all.
- Renewal: after the trial, the subscription renews automatically each period until you cancel.
- Cancelling: cancel any time from the billing portal in your account settings. You keep Pro access until the end of the period you have already paid for.
- Refunds: if you are not happy within 14 days of being charged, contact us for a full refund.
Payments are processed by Stripe. If a payment fails we may suspend Pro features until it is resolved. We may change prices, and we will give notice before a change affects an existing subscription.
If you subscribe through Apple's App Store instead, that purchase is governed by Apple's terms and is managed in your Apple account settings, not ours.
Community rules
Clubs, events, the feed, comments and chat are shared spaces. Behave in them the way you would at a Saturday morning meet-up.
There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive behaviour. Do not:
- Harass, threaten, bully or intimidate anyone
- Post hateful content targeting people for who they are
- Post sexually explicit, violent, or otherwise obscene material
- Impersonate another person, or misrepresent your affiliation with an organisation
- Post content that is illegal, or that encourages others to break the law
- Give dangerous training or medical advice, or push others past what is safe
- Spam, advertise, or run scams
- Share someone else's private information, including their location
- Upload content you do not have the right to share
You can report content or a person, and block another user, from within the app. We review every report within 24 hours. When content breaks these rules we remove it, and we suspend or permanently ban the account that posted it. Serious cases may be reported to law enforcement.
Falsifying activity — recording rucks you did not do, or manipulating data to place on leaderboards — undermines the point of the thing. We may remove such records and the achievements derived from them.
Content you create
Your content stays yours. You keep ownership of your rucks, photos, notes and posts.
You grant us the permission needed to run the service: to store your content, process it, and display it to the people you have chosen to share it with. That permission ends when you delete the content or your account, except where we must retain something to comply with the law.
You are responsible for what you post, and you confirm you have the right to post it.
If content on Loaded Carry shows an intimate image shared without consent, or infringes a copyright, submit a removal request — no account needed. Law enforcement: see our guidance.
Acceptable use of the service
Do not:
- Break into, probe, or disrupt the service or other users' accounts
- Scrape or bulk-extract data, or use automated tools to access the service
- Reverse-engineer the app, except where law expressly permits it
- Resell or redistribute the service
- Work around feature limits or payment
Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate an account that breaks these terms, or where doing so is necessary to protect other users or the service. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will tell you why.
You may stop using Loaded Carry and delete your account at any time.
Availability
We work to keep Loaded Carry running, but we do not promise uninterrupted or error-free service. Features may change or be removed. We may perform maintenance that makes the service temporarily unavailable.
Disclaimers and limits of liability
To the maximum extent the law allows, the service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
To the maximum extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, nor for lost profits, lost data, or personal injury arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions or limitations, so parts of the above may not apply to you. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. For changes that meaningfully affect your rights, we will tell you in the app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use Loaded Carry after that means you accept the updated terms.
